چکیده

A molecular marker is a valuable tool in genetic research. Insertions–deletions (InDels) are commonly used polymorphisms gene mapping, analysing diversity, marker-assisted breeding, and phylogenetics. The 3000 Rice Genome Project, re-sequencing project, discovered millions of genome-wide InDels. We found that the proportion >50-bp long InDels (699,475) total (1,248,503) 56.02%. number on each chromosome was consistent with corresponding length. maximum were 1 (78,935), minimum 9 (41,752), an average density 1.87 InDels/kb (range: 1.50–2.36 InDels/kb). Furthermore, 96 about 3.98 Mb/InDel selected to detect polymorphism. results exhibited ideal performance 2% agarose gel electrophoresis. Phylogenetic analysis InDel markers had excellent between rice varieties japonica indica, could be classified based statistical their polymorphisms. applied identify recombinant inbred lines population. These reveal high-density help us examine functional species variation, map-based cloning.

Whole genome sequencing of Oryza sativa L. cv. Seeragasamba identifies a new fragrance allele in rice

Fragrance of rice is an important trait that confers a large economic benefit to the farmers who cultivate aromatic rice varieties. Several aromatic rice varieties have limited geographic distribution, and are endowed with variety-specific unique fragrances. BADH2 was identified as a fragrance gene in 2005, and it is essential to identify the fragrance alleles from diverse geographical location...

Fingerprinting and variety identification of rice (Oryza sativa L.) based on simple sequence repeat markers

Fingerprinting with molecular markers allows precise, objective and rapid variety identification. In this study, simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers were used to fingerprint the forty-eight main commercial rice cultivars under cultivation at present in Zhejiang Province, China, and identify indica and japonica subspecies including eight groups of closely related cultivars. Eighteen of the thir...

InDel marker based genetic differentiation and genetic diversity in traditional rice (Oryza sativa L.) landraces of Chhattisgarh, India

Rice has been cultivating and utilizing by humans for thousands of years under diverse environmental conditions. Therefore, tremendous genetic differentiation and diversity has occurred at various agro-ecosystems. The significant indica-japonica differentiation in rice provides great opportunities for its genetic improvement. In the present investigation, a total of 42 polymorphic InDel markers...

Whole-genome re-sequencing.

DNA sequencing can be used to gain important information on genes, genetic variation and gene function for biological and medical studies. The growing collection of publicly available reference genome sequences will underpin a new era of whole genome re-sequencing, but sequencing costs need to fall and throughput needs to rise by several orders of magnitude. Novel technologies are being develop...
